ARCOR PA Champs Race Results
Enduro Twinny Twinn Twinn Results
The Halloween Race weekend started on Friday, October 28th, 2005 with open practice all day on an oval designed by Michael Rooney and Allen Stephens. The oval construction is similar to the Snowbird Nationals held every year in Orlando FL. The track construction consists of Ozite provided by Calandra Racing Concepts. The timing system used is the latest AMBrc hardware with RC Scoring Pro software.
Friday night was time to run the “fun race” – ARCOR “Twinny Twinn Twinn” which is a 200 lap enduro race. The race is broken down into two 100 lap races with a 15 minute intermission between rounds. The first driver to make 100 laps wins! Look here for results.
On Saturday, it was a crisp cold day in autumn, about 34º with the leaves nearing peak. The doors of the shop opened an hour and a half early with NitroMike Whittington and Frank opening the store. Racers were already waiting to get in to get as much practice in before the big show.
JB of ARCOR mentioned this was almost a record for entries (61) for a state race! She also mentioned that this race would most likely be one of the largest state races of ARCOR and ROAR sanctioned bodies. Congratulations to all the racers, staff and sponsors for making this possible! This race is also another first for the Pittsburgh Pa area and for Steel City Hobbies. The race was the largest, most organized R/C carpet race in the Western Pa region.
Thank you to our sponsors: Trinity, MSA, BSR, McCallister, JACO, SMC and the Pittsburgh Steelers for all the prizes!
