RUANAIDH - (RU-AH-NEE) is the Gaelic spelling for Rooney.

One of the classiest customers I knew passed away on September 26, 2008. Brian O’Neill was a huge part of the success of Steel City Hobbies’ R/C Carpet Racetrack. Brian helped with the construction of the area’s largest carpet track, as well as helping to organize events - from club racing to the big nationals held at SCH. We will miss you Brian!

Brian is survived by his wife and two young sons who all frequented SCH. A few local tracks are looking into holding memorial races to help the O’Neill’s out financially, etc.

Mike Rooney

The BRL came to Pittsburgh this past weekend. Practice started Friday night at 8:00 PM sharp! Practice ran until about 11:30 PM and began again on Saturday early!

Results

The racing continued on Sunday with the 4th round of qualifying and then the mains. This was one of the greatest races at SCH to date! The facility is open to spectators for free!

Gary, Nitro Mike Whittington and Robert Stanley man the store while the BRL race goes on!

The BRL (Brushless Racing League) happened this past weekend at SCH. The race was an all weekend race - March 15th and 16th. The race was sponsored and called the Muddslide Motorsports 300.
