Race For A Cure

Steel City Hobbies helped out again this year with the Race For A Cure, which was held at the Washington County Airport. About 115 entries for the racing were going strong despite the wet weather. Nitro Mike was there for support and with the Steel City Hobbies R/C display. John Price and his son were there with flying demonstrations, which was always a crowd pleaser. The airport actually shut down for some of John’s flying which proved to be spectacular.

Steelers Camp, 2006 – 1st Visit

August 10th was the first visit for SCH up to the Steelers Training Camp. Players that use R/C were happy to see Mike Rooney walking onto the field! Reporters and guests were wondering what players were talking about when they would yell to Mike on the Sidelines “Hey Mike, come to my dorm room after pracite!”… People were wondering what was going on, but the R/C guys knew exactly what was going on. More to come soon!

Steel City Hobbies and the World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers team up to raise money for children who are burn victims at Camp Kon-O-Kwee located just north of Pittsburgh.

Steelers players and the Pittsburgh FOOLS (Firefighters in the Pittsburgh area) are going to do everything they can to raise much needed money for this special cause. There will be a celebrity R/C race to be held at SCH. Date TBD in 2006
