New Carpet Track
Steel City has been busy building a top notch race surface at Steel City Hobbies. This track will be one of the top racing surfaces in North America when it is complete.
Above Left: Three ply joists are built on-site providing a very stable support for the sub-floor. The joists run 40′ across the floor and 2′ cross braces will be installed for additional support before topped with up to an inch of plywood for the decking.
The new track will have amenities such as:
- Larger racing surface - 92′ x 40′
- Reinforced sub-floor for smooth surface
- Advanced state-of-the-art timing system
- Video displays of racing information
- DirecTV in Pit area
- Multiple timing capabilities
- Dual entry drivers stand (Including a ramp for wheelchair use)
- Added pit area
- New club membership opportunities for more track time!

Track will reopen sometime in July with a bi-monthly racing schedule.

that is amazing! this track is huge and i can not wait to see the first race. this has to be the nicest track in the usa. keep up the good work guys and thank you thank you thank you!

Track looks nice fellas. My son has been talking about this for the last few weeks. Now that I can see it, impressive. Thank you for providing a fun and useful place for my boys to play.
