SCH’s new carpet track works!

Steel City Hobbies opened the doors for a test-n-tune day for Carpet Racing on Saturday, September 15, 2007.
The major expansion of the track increased in size to 40′ x 92′ with updates to carpet, electronics to video displays. “This R/C facility is really something special for anyone who is into R/C car racing…” says owner Michael Rooney.

We will be trying different track combinations for Oval - so we can maximize track usage as well as maintaining different size run-lines for a wide variety of racing over the course of a season.

Special thanks to SCH’s Frank Dempster, JW and Chuck Chambers for the countless hours of devotion - and to others who worked hard to raise the bar in R/C car racing.

This coming Saturday, 9/29 will be a test-n-tune day for both the track and R/C car racing. There will be non-sanctioned club racing this coming weekend. Look for an On-Road event early in October as we celebrate a grand re-opening of Steel City Hobbies’ newest creation!
